Why should you engage with Changing Planet Migrations?
I’ve been on this path myself. Our family left South Africa more than a decade ago, and while each person’s journey (literally and figuratively) is different, there’s a lot to be said for understanding what it takes to leave the country of your birth. I do appreciate that simply having a common point of departure is not enough though.
The immigration process has its complexities, and for some (like me), the thought of the control of a decision so important not being yours alone is daunting. So I understand the importance of being informed every step of the way so that you are not left wondering whether there is progress at all in the long periods of quiet from Immigration New Zealand.
I can tell you that I place immense importance on providing a good service; it’s been at the core of what I’ve done in my career to date. This service is a healthy “paper” trail so nothing is left unsaid, and a clear understanding of the process which I will readily share with you on your immigration journey.
I can speak of working with integrity, however I realise that you will only know this to be true once you trust me with your application. And I understand the importance of calling it like it is (as we do in South Africa).
Why use a Licensed Immigration Adviser?
Immigration New Zealand (INZ) is the ultimate decision-maker when it comes to a visa application. Engaging the services of a licensed immigration adviser does not guarantee a successful application. What we do offer however, is a thorough understanding of what it is that INZ is looking for when deciding an application, and the skill to pre-empt what we know might be barriers to a successful outcome.
Naturally you have the option to apply for your visa yourself. In fact, I managed our family’s residence application. Our application was relatively simple; at the time our qualifications and field of expertise were what secured us sufficient points. We didn’t have any character or health issues, and we could prove the authenticity of our relationship since we’d been married for several years. All these factors are serious considerations for INZ when it comes to an application – and particularly if you want to move to New Zealand on a permanent basis. I don’t have to tell you that the decision to immigrate is a monumental one. By the time you are reading this, you’re probably already on that trajectory. You will find that once you have determined this, the stakes are high, and you’ll want to be assured that you have done all you can to present your best case for a successful application.
As immigration advisers we are highly regulated, and quite frankly you wouldn’t want it any other way. We are bound by a professional Code of Conduct, the first clause of which states that we need to be honest, professional, diligent and respectful, and conduct ourselves with due care and in a timely manner.
Finally, a factor to consider when weighing up whether you should engage an immigration adviser, is the fact that we can present other alternatives on your immigration journey that might not be apparent in your own research process. We’re looking at a greater immigration landscape and working with other clients, and there is a lot to be said from the learnings that come from each and how we can apply this understanding to your application.
